If you like the vehicles made by the company with the three-pointed star emblem, we have one at Mission Classics, a 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320W with all-wheel drive. Made at Mercedes’ Sindelfingen factory in Germany in March 2000, this car is fully loaded and looks great. This car left the assembly line with the following options: the COMAND infotainment system, Xenon headlamps, headlamp washing system, rain sensor, a sunroof and Bose Premium Sound System.

Dressed in Bordeaux Red (code 567), the car’s paint and trim are in overall excellent condition, with only some minor blemishes visible at close range. The body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body, the engine bay is very tidy and the cargo area is in very good shape.

This car rolls on new radials, size 215/55R16 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted to an 11-hole light alloy wheel. The tires and wheels are all in very good order.

Under the hood is a 3.2L, twin-spark, 18-valve aluminum V-6 engine (code M112) with sequential fuel injection. This motor replaced the inline six-cylinder engines previously offered. Backing up this motor is a five-speed, electronically-controlled automatic transmission (5G-TRONIC code 722.6) and the reassurance of all-wheel drive.

Driver convenience features include dual automatic climate control, power and speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, 10-way front seats with heating and three-position memory, power windows, power locks, power sideview mirrors, tilt steering column, auto-dimming rearview and sideview mirrors and sunroof.

Safety features include dual front airbags, side door airbags, side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, anti-theft system with engine immobilizer, Xenon headlights with headlamp washers and TeleAid emergency calling/communication system.

Inside, the car’s Oyster leather interior (code 215) looks almost showroom new overall. The front buckets and rear bench have Dark Oyster piping. The matching Oyster carpet is in great shape as is the matching headliner. There are floormats to protect the carpet. A four-spoke, multi-function steering wheel faces the driver. The instrument panel is two-tone, Dark Oyster over Oyster and it houses a full range of instruments. The center console with shifter and inner door liners have burled walnut accent for added warmth. A factory AM/FM stereo with COMAND 2.5, a Cockpit Management and Data System for audio, telematics and telecommunications.

For model year 2000, a multi-function information system was incorporated into the instrument cluster below the speedometer and the introduction of steering wheel controls for the audio/navigation/phone system.

In addition, the five-speed automatic transmission introduced +/- gate positions for semi-manual control of the gearbox, marketed as “Touch Shift.” This electronic system replaced the previous gated shift arrangement.
